Statement
I prefer not to say that I am self-taught in Art. I am a reflection of any Art that anyone has ever taken the time to show me. I am a sponge. I am grateful and I have no fear of failing because that is how I learn. And sometimes I find success. But mostly, whatever I do, Art is rewarding.
Biography
Janice is an award winning artist and has been a resident of Hoover Alabama since 1982. She has been married to her husband, Bill, for 36 years. She likes to say that she was a Child Bride. They have two rowdy little dogs: Rockstar, a Schnauzer, and Bonjovi, a West Highland Terrier. After 35 years in the Corporate World, Janice “retired” and began to fulfill a Life’s Ambition in Art. She works with Fused Glass, Pottery, Mosaics and Metal Wall Sculptures. In addition, she makes Jewelry, Paints with an array of Mediums and makes Candles and Soaps. Her work has been displayed in many venues across the across the country. Her painting of “ Cannon Balls 1862” is a Permanent Piece of the Alabama Bicentennial Collection.
